Leeds Castle

Over the past nine centuries, Leeds Castle has been the private property of six of England’s medieval queens and a palace owned by Henry VIII who rebuilt the Maiden’s Tower on Castle Island to accommodate the handmaidens to his wife, Catherine of Aragon. Today, the large historic rooms provide excellent space for holding your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast. French doors lead onto a charming private garden and five en suite top AA awardwinning bedrooms provide a wonderfully private space. Each room is beautifully decorated in period style with a contemporary twist, offering views across the moat to the surrounding parkland.

The private walled garden provides exceptional space for couples to entertain their guests and enjoy the wonderful views beyond. It’s furnished with elegant outdoor furniture, large parasols and magical fairylights for when the evening draws in. Photographs of the couple can take place on the Castle Island or anywhere around the surrounding estate including the beautiful Culpeper and Mediterranean Gardens. In fact, The ‘Garden Party Wedding’ in the Maiden’s Tower is a wonderful new package that takes advantage of a more relaxed style of wedding and caters for 100 guests. Inside the Maiden’s Tower receptions take place in the Tudor Hall, which boasts a large medieval fireplace and tapestries.
