Hever Castle

Set in 625 acres of idyllic Kent countryside, Hever Castle has a rich and varied history dating back more than 700 years – most notably it was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife. One of the most magnificent areas is its Italian Garden, complete with sculptures and a 38-acre lake. In the summer months the award-winning garden comes to life as ceremonies take place under the beautiful arched columns of the Loggia overlooking the lake.

This magical lakeside location can also be extended to form the setting for your drinks reception, where guests can take in the views from the stone piazza complete with its very own Trevi-inspired fountain. Ceremonies take place for up to 60 in the Castle Inner Hall, a beautiful gallery modelled on Kings College Chapel, Cambridge, ideal for musicians to position themselves in – or head to the Astor Wing with up to 64 loved ones. A banquet-style wedding breakfast can be hosted in the Castle Dining Room, also boasting the stunning Minstrels’ Gallery, fine wood panelling and an ornately carved stone fireplace.
