The Pheasant Inn entices couples with romantic breaks in the Lakes.

The Pheasant Inn on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake has launched an accommodation package just for two, helping couples escape to the Lake District for 48 hours of cosy romance.

Available from Sunday to Thursday its Two Nights Treats package is designed to seduce couples away from everyday life to reconnect and recharge on the quieter nights of the week.

The affordable package includes a peaceful two night stay in a double room complete with abundant Cumbrian breakfast and accommodation ranges from the Pheasant's inviting Standard and Classic bedrooms to the private Garden Lodge and luxurious Superior bedrooms. With only 15 rooms in total, stays are guaranteed to be tranquil and cosy and the Pheasant's bedrooms are filled with little luxuries like Egyptian cotton sheets, eclectic antique furniture, china tea sets, Robert's radios and eco toiletries.

Also included in the package is £50 towards dinner at the Pheasant's award-winning Fell Restaurant or its Bistro. The Fell is the perfect place to dress up for a decadent date night, boasting two AA Rosette's and a fine dining menu of seasonal produce. For a more relaxed meal couples can tuck in to hearty local dishes in the Bistro and relax in the Pheasant's historic bar with a cocktail, a pint of local ale or one of its 70 whiskies.

When it comes to romantic walks The Pheasant Inn is minutes from some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District. Just off the doorstep is Sale Fell, a gentle hike with stunning views across Bassenthwaite Lake, and around 20 minutes drive away is a breathtaking 'will you marry me?' spot - Surprise View in Borrowdale with incredible vistas over Derwentwater and Keswick.

The Pheasant also gives guests complimentary access to the spa at nearby Armathwaite Hall which boasts relaxation facilities including an infinity pool, outdoor hot tub and thermal suite.

Couples with pooches can even bring their dogs along as the Pheasant's Garden Lodge rooms are designated dog-friendly (dogs are charged £10 extra per night).

The Two Nights Treats package is available from now until 1st November 2018 and costs from £310 per couple, including two nights' accommodation, breakfast and a £50 contribution towards dinner.

For a longer and even more indulgent stay, the Pheasant is offering a Three Night Treats package from Sunday to Thursday from now through to November 2018 providing three dreamy nights' accommodation, breakfast, a bottle of Prosecco on arrival plus £90 towards dinner in the Fell Restaurant or hotel Bistro. Prices for the Three Nights Treats are from £515 per couple.
