Your Kent Wedding - May/June 2022 (Issue 102)

As a wedding present, my work colleagues paid for a white taxi to take us from Rowhill to the church and then back again. The church service was beautiful. We know the vicar well and she even came to the reception. Everyone felt so welcome, which was especially important for our children. Our son came up, gave me a kiss and hugged us both when we said our vows. A work colleague, who used to run a cake shop, kindly created our big-day bake. Our wedding breakfast was a roast beef dinner, Lee’s favourite. My mum gave me away as I’ve only ever had her as a parent, so we are an incredibly close family. Blush pink blooms featured in the design of the table plan, place names and table names to tie the theme together. “We were elated to finally have our big day after having to move the date three times within a year due to Covid.” Since we met on match.com our favours were matches labelled: the perfect match. We also had M&Ms as both our surnames begin with the letter M. They had Mr and Mrs printed on them. 44
