Your Kent Wedding - Page number 51 - September/August 2021 (Issue 98)

James was dressed in a blue suit and grey tie. His pocket watch was a gift from me. The best man and groom’s father wore the same suits as the groom. Little log card holders held our place names, which were embellished with olive tree branches. We all enjoyed an afternoon tea as our wedding breakfast, and we served Jamaican street food at the evening reception. We also made a welcome sign and covered the venue in 80,000 fairylights. Our lemon-flavoured wedding cake was decorated with rustic icing and foliage. I wore a lace champagne-coloured dress by Justin Alexander and paired it with a full- length veil. I accessorised with a Pandora necklace that James had given me at Christmas a few years earlier, a Swarovski bracelet from my maid-of-honour and my mum’s engagement ring. REAL WEDDINGS 51
