November/December 2019

My editor’s letter this issue should carry a warning. I’m more than a little bit excited that Christmas is on the horizon and we’ve approached the time of year where my fever pitch obsession with it starts to get unbearable. Just ask the rest of the CWM team! As a Christian it’s not really about the presents for me, although if someone were kind enough to pop a little something under the tree I wouldn’t complain. No, it’s the reason for the season and the joy it brings. That’s why I absolutely adore it when couples choose this time of love to express their own and make their commitment to each other. And have we got some beautiful festive weddings to bring you this issue! Turn to pages 38, 53, and 59.

There are also plenty of stunning styled shoots for you to feast your eyes on. We’ve got a wealth of inspiration from the annals of history right through to the thoroughly modern. You won’t want to miss them on pages 67, 71, 80 and 85.

Here at Your Kent Wedding we completely understand how much there is to think about when planning a wedding, so it’s really important you take time out for yourself to make sure you not only look jaw-dropping, but also feel great on your big day. So, with that in mind we’ve scoured Kent for its mind, body and beauty experts to bring you an indispensable guide to wedding wellness and beauty over on page 111.

Without any further ado I welcome you to this, the last issue of 2019, and hope you enjoy!

Broome park

Built in 1635, Broome Park was constructed from solid red brick, a stark contrast to the lush green backdrop of its 270 acres of glorious Kentish grounds. The long driveway builds suspense as you turn a corner to see the spectacular house laid out before you. With elegant high doorframes, grand wooden doors and marble steps you’ll be making an entrance worthy of your big day.

There’s a complimentary wine tasting and night’s stay as part of the venue’s main wedding packages as well as guest accommodation at a discounted rate.

The Italian Gardens offer an outside ceremony venue situated in a quiet spot of the grounds. They reflect the grandeur of the house with high archways, statues and a fountain (150 ceremony guests).

The Georgian Room allows you to enjoy the splendour of Broome Park surrounded by its history and boasts high ceilings, neutral tones and large bay windows (150 ceremony guests, 80 dining, 120 reception).

The marquee boasts glass panelling to make the most of the surrounding scenery and allows plenty of space for guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast, and any other treats you’ve organised for them. There’s also a private bar (200 dining, 250 evening).
