November/December 2020

Yes folks, it’s that time of year again where I go positively gaga over everything Christmas. Regardless of everything that’s happened this year, I refuse to let it dampen my seasonal spirit. So, with that said, I’d certainly advise you not to miss our gorgeously festive styled shoot over on page 65, created by the excellent Natasha Spencer Weddings & Events and her team.

As you may have noticed, I can’t get enough of styled shoots. Kent’s incredible suppliers put their hearts and souls into them and the inspiration they produce is second to none. So, we certainly have a cornucopia of treats for the eyes this issue! Be sure to stop by pages 59, 65, 76, 81, and 89 for 16 pages packed with wedding bliss.

Wait, the wedspiration doesn’t end there. We’ve got no less than four of our readers’ big days to share with you, allowing you to learn from those who’ve gone before you. Plus, we’ve chatted to the county’s photographers (page 69) and beauty professionals (page 109) in a bid to aid your planning.

As you can tell I’m more than a tad excited about what we’ve got the show you this issue, so I shall stop rambling, let you dive in, and hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and I’ll see you in 2021.

The Vines

Formerly Rochester’s old archdeaconry, The Vines is steeped in history, which has been showcased through the beautiful restoration of its original features. Eight of the 13 bedrooms on site are in the main house, with a further five housed in the landscaped gardens. One such room is the bridal suite.

The venue also boasts two restaurants, a separate bar and an outdoor kitchen. Each of these fab entertaining spaces will be able to host wedding celebrations. There’s also the standout Nordic-style tipi providing a romantic backdrop to ceremonies.

There’ll be two types of wedding available: traditional or festival. The former package includes all of the well-established elements key to a time-honoured English wedding and will host up to 70 day guests. The innovative and exciting festival wedding offering is the venue’s take on a relaxed and interactive all-day celebration with inventive food and drink stands and capacity for 120.

The Vines is now available for exclusive wedding bookings for 2021. The venue will look to officially launch as a boutique hotel, restaurant and bar in early 2021 too.

Introducing Kent's House of Wedding

Meet Carrie and Charlotte - together the ladies are House of Wedding. The pair met while working for another events company and after a drunken night in the pub and much discussion about how they'd run their own company, House of Wedding was born! When they aren't working they enjoy socialising with their friends and families (including four-legged family members) and attending live shows particularly music gigs and drag shows. We caught up with Carrie and Charlotte to find out more.
