Located in the heart of the Kent countryside lies Mount Ephraim, a beautiful, family owned stately home with 10 acres of Edwardian gardens and stunning views of the surrounding countryside and orchards. Mount Ephraim offers the most perfect, picturesque and tranquil setting for your wedding day.
Unlike other venues, the main house is exclusively just for you. You can have access to the house, both the day before and the day after your wedding, so you will have a less rushed experience - and there's never a wedding the day before or day after, so at Mount Ephraim you can relax, take your time and enjoy your moment.
We can accommodate ceremonies of up to 100 people in the house or garden.
For a reception in the house we offer wedding breakfasts for up to 100, with room for a total of 175 evening guests.
For a marquee reception in our truly impressive yet intimate gardens we can accommodate over 250 guests / and up to 150 for a ceremony in the house or gardens.
We have three stunning areas licensed for ceremonies. You can choose from getting married in our main hall which features an elegant staircase, a guaranteed spectacular entrance under a large glass skylight. Alternatively, the gardens offer an enchanting experience for an outdoor ceremony. There is an impressive staircase leading down to the ceremony lawn, which sits alongside a series of rock pools and leads to a beautifully crafted Japanese stone bridge and lake. Or our reception rooms, adorned with marble fireplaces and chandeliers, create an elegant space for your ceremony.
Our beautiful reception rooms, in the main house are ideal for your wedding breakfast, comfortably accommodating up to 100 for a sit-down meal, prepared by our fabulous caterers Scott Anderson Ltd. Using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible, their team create imaginatively presented and delicious tasting food that is beautifully served. For your evening party, up to 175 guests can enjoy our boutique bar, with dancing taking place in the main hall, with the most amazing acoustics. Or if you'd prefer a marquee on the front lawn for your reception, it's a truly fantastic spot, offering breath-taking views of the gardens, and plenty of space for over 250 guests.
One of the huge advantages of Mount Ephraim is our on-site accommodation, for up to 22 guests. Our B&B includes our private, luxury wedding suite and four individually decorated, double ensuite rooms, so you and your select guests can wake up to the stunning views and enjoy breakfast the morning after your wedding. And our new, fully furnished, self-catering Garden Wing, with six double bedrooms, is also available for private hire, so more of your closest friends and family can join in with the extended wedding celebrations. The Garden Wing features two large sitting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen diner and a snooker room. The main house also boasts a large elegant dressing room, for getting ready in on the morning of your wedding.
