Chiddingstone Castle is a hidden gem, nestling in the heart of the rolling Kent Weald and set within 35 acres of beautiful grounds, including a lake, rose garden and woodland. Situated in the National Trust village of Chiddingstone, this stunning Historic House can be totally and exclusively yours for your marriage ceremony and reception, and offers a selection of rooms and locations in which to hold the most romantic day.

A range of guest numbers can be accommodated at the Castle, from smaller parties under 50 up to numbers of 80 for a wedding breakfast in the Great Hall, followed by an evening reception of up to 120. A marquee can be erected in the grounds which gives you freedom to invite up to 120 guests for the full day from ceremony through to evening reception.

You can choose from one of our three recommended caterers who will attend to every detail of the catering. Their food is delicious and creative and they will work closely with you to design a menu to suit your requirements. The Castle does not charge corkage and an evening pay bar can be set up at no additional cost to the bride and groom.

At Chiddingstone Castle every wedding is unique; attention to detail is very evident, flexibility is key and the whole team make everyone feel calm, relaxed and at home. By working with the bride’s choice of florist, photographer and stylist, the team of experienced, knowledgeable, friendly staff work professionally behind the scenes to make every occasion run seamlessly.

The Orangery

During summer months many couples opt for a civil ceremony at the Orangery.

Originally built in Victorian times; a stunning modern glass roof structure was added in 2008, complementing the striking stonework and bringing architectural merit.

Throughout the summer season the Orangery is one of the most unique venues in the Kent for a civil ceremony.
