The premiere of the new 'Cinema Set Menu' has arrived at the award-winning restaurant and record store, the Orpington.
The menu created specifically for local cinema go-ers, incorporates two courses of flavourful home-cooked dishes with a twist, and a choice of either a soft, alcoholic or hot drink.
Nestling just a short stroll from the Odeon Orpington, Scott Buckle, founder of the Orpington explains the inspiration;
"I wanted to create a menu which was reflective of our popular evening menu but with the emphasis on delivering a satisfying meal that both adults and children would enjoy as part of their cinema evening. It's proved hugely popular with parents who would prefer to pass on the fast-food and e-numbers!"
Choose from a fine selection of show-stopping meals such as delicious pork and beef meatballs in a creamy vine tomato sauce, or perhaps you would prefer to sample the Parmigiana - a stunning dish that combines baked aubergine, vine tomato sauce, and smoked mozzarella with a herby breadcrumb topping. There’s something to tantalise everyone’s tastebuds!
Desserts ensure you get a delicious sweet treat with a choice of classic desserts such as gluten-free homemade cheesecakes, salted caramel ice-cream and other A-list options.
Dishes are created from locally sourced ingredients from the Orpington's selected Kent farmers and producers and freshly cooked to order, ensuring mouth-watering, wholesome food as the prelude to a fabulous evening in front of the big screen, or conclusion to a tremendous cinematic experience.
Available from 5 - 10 pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
