Sharing a love of music with the world

"We know what a difficult time everyone is having, so for those in isolation we wanted to play our part, and help where we can. We watched videos of people in Italy singing from their balconies and rooftops, and this sparked an inspiration within us. We loved the idea of sharing our music with not only people in our local community, but with the world. 

"We began singing everyday on our balcony at 3pm whilst streaming live on Facebook. We really wanted to spread happiness and joy to people in isolation, feeling down or struggling at this difficult time. With social distancing in place, we found that our balcony performances were getting too popular for us to sing outside, as people were turning up outside our house to listen to us sing and play the harp. 

"So, now we release daily videos on Facebook at 3pm, and have also started a family vlog, where we encourage others to join in with our music, jokes and challenges. For us, it’s all about feeling connected to other people and being part of something. 

"We feel very humble as people have heard of the things we are doing, and we have even joined www.thesofasingers.net to interact with other musicians. Unintentionally we have come to the attention of ABC news live in America, The Dominic King and Pat Marsh shows on BBC Radio Kent, we have even been on the front page of the Folkestone Herald, and appeared in The Mail on Sunday. For us, this is about helping others, spreading our love of music and bringing people joy."
