With the rise of digital gatherings, what better time to dust off your cocktail shaker, brush up on your mixology, and host the new virtual happy hour. To help you get into the 'spirit' and with World Cocktail Day on the horizon (13th May), the team at Winebuyers have given the martini a makeover and curated a selection of must-try "Quarantini" cocktail recipes.

Espresso Rumtini with Mainbrace Rum
50ml Mainbrace rum
15ml Butterscotch
25ml Coffee
25ml KahluaOrange twist for garnish

If caffeine is your vice, then you'll want to rustle up this Espresso Rumtini pronto. With Mainbrace rum adding soothing notes of caramel and toffee to the palate and notes of dried fruits and spice on the nose, just add all your ingredients to a cocktail shaker, followed by plenty of ice cubes.Give the cocktail a good shake for at least 15 seconds and strain into a perfectly chilled martini glass. Garnish with your orange twist and enjoy.

Rhubarb Gin Quarantini with Penrhos
50ml Penrhos Rhubarb Gin
10ml Dry Vermouth

Why not give the classic gin martini a modern twist, with this refreshing Rhubarb alternative? With a tart burst of rhubarb, soft citrus and herbal notes, you'll wonder why you've never tried this before.Simply add your gin and vermouth to a mixing glass with ice, stir and double strain into a martini glass.
For an added fabulous flourish, garnish with a rose petal – optional but encouraged.

Elderflower Quarantini with Manly Spirit Gin
40ml Manly Spirits Coastal Citrus Gin
20ml Lillet Blanc Vermouth5ml Elderflower Cordia
l2 Orange Bitter Dashes

If you're looking for a light and uplifting evening tipple, this Elderflower Quarantini will hit just the spot. Using Manly Spirits Coastal Citrus gin, which imparts citrus lemon and juniper on the palate, and Lillet Blanc Vermouth, this is a fresh and vibrant Quarantini. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir over ice. Once chilled and balanced, strain and garnish with a fresh apple slice, or twist of lemon.

35ml Greensand Ridge Dry Gin15ml Sweet Red Vermouth
15ml Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur

If you're in need of a pick me up, then this is the Quarantini for you. With Greensand Ridge dry gin using 15 botanicals, including honey, rosehip and coriander, the result is a cocktail which is light on the palate and hard to put down.For this cocktail, combine all your ingredients in a mixing glass and stir. Once well mixed, pour into your martini glass of choice, garnish with an orange peel and voila. For optimum sipping satisfaction, chill your martini glass beforehand.

Truffle Quarantini with Cambridge Distillery Gin
50ml Truffle Gin
5ml Dry Sherry
5ml Dry Vermouth
Orange zest for garnish

Perfect for a weekend indulgence, this truffle gin is decadent and luxurious. Led by the taste of white truffle from Alba, Piedmont, pour all your ingredients into a mixing beaker, add a handful of ice and stir until chilled and well combined.Strain into a frozen martini glass and garnish with orange zest.

60ml York Gin London Dry
1tsp Dry Vermouth
Olive

Satisfying and sophisticated, the York Gin Quarantini is a perfect balance of classic flavours. Simply add the gin, dry vermouth and a handful of ice into your cocktail shaker. Shake, or stir if preferred, the ingredients and strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with an olive or two on a cocktail stick.

50ml Three Spirit Livener
50ml Cranberry Juice
10ml Lime Juice
(Add a dash of citrus vodka for a low ABV drink)

An invigorating elixir and the perfect party pick-me-up for those who fancy a mocktail, Three Spirits Livener adds a fresh and fiery flavour of watermelon, guava and ginger to your drink. To make, add your ingredients to an ice filled cocktail shaker or jam jar (make sure you tighten the lid) and shake, shake, shake.Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with candied cranberries and a wheel of dried orange, or a slice of fresh. If you're seeking an extra Friday night kick, drizzle in a touch of citrus vodka before you shake.
