Tie the knot at The Old Kent Barn

The Old Kent Barn is actually comprised of two barns, the old and the new. The old is a 200-year-old oak framed Tythe barn, full of character and beams. This provides the accommodation for the venue with a luxurious newlywed suite and two additional double ensuite rooms. Included in the package is a complimentary five star stay here with a freshly prepared breakfast the following morning.

The design of the new barn is both opulent and neutral to coordinate with any colour or theme. Home to your reception it can host 150 seated with a further 100 for evening celebrations. The impressive chandeliers have won an international design award and the starlit ceiling guides you to the solid wooden dancefloor for your first dance.

The grounds are professionally landscaped creating format parterres with romantic roses, sweeping curved hedges and an informal lake garden with fountain all set against a backdrop of mature trees and countryside. Set in the gardens is the classic wooden gazebo for outdoor ceremonies, with a paved area in front for seated guests covered by glass pergolas should the weather seek to dampen the occasion. In the winter months, proceedings can be moved inside and you can get married under the starlit ceiling of the new barn, draped in ivory fabric to create an intimate ceremony space.  

We love… the four-seater vintage ivory taxi that transports the bridal party from the dressing room to the ceremony area.
