November/December 2020

Yes folks, it’s that time of year again where I go positively gaga over everything Christmas. Regardless of everything that’s happened this year, I refuse to let it dampen my seasonal spirit. So, with that said, I’d certainly advise you not to miss our gorgeously festive styled shoot over on page 65, created by the excellent Natasha Spencer Weddings & Events and her team.

As you may have noticed, I can’t get enough of styled shoots. Kent’s incredible suppliers put their hearts and souls into them and the inspiration they produce is second to none. So, we certainly have a cornucopia of treats for the eyes this issue! Be sure to stop by pages 59, 65, 76, 81, and 89 for 16 pages packed with wedding bliss.

Wait, the wedspiration doesn’t end there. We’ve got no less than four of our readers’ big days to share with you, allowing you to learn from those who’ve gone before you. Plus, we’ve chatted to the county’s photographers (page 69) and beauty professionals (page 109) in a bid to aid your planning.

As you can tell I’m more than a tad excited about what we’ve got the show you this issue, so I shall stop rambling, let you dive in, and hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and I’ll see you in 2021.

Broome Park

Built in 1635, Broome Park was constructed from solid red brick, a stark contrast to the lush green backdrop of its 270 acres of glorious Kentish grounds. The long driveway builds suspense as you turn a corner to see the spectacular house laid out before you. With elegant high doorframes, grand wooden doors and marble steps you’ll be making an entrance worthy of your big day.

For al fresco vows, the Italian Gardens offer a quiet spot for you and 120 loved ones. They reflect the grandeur of the house with high archways, statues and a fountain. The Georgian Room is a gorgeous indoor alternative and allows you to enjoy the splendour of Broome Park surrounded by its history. The space, which boasts high ceilings and lovely large bay windows, can accommodate 120 for your ceremony, 80 for the wedding breakfast and 120 for the evening celebrations. If your guest list extends beyond there, the marquee can host 200 diners and 250 for the revelries. The glass panelling makes the most of the surrounding scenery and allows plenty for space for your nearest and dearest to enjoy themselves.

There’s a complimentary wine tasting and night’s stay as part of the venue’s main wedding packages as well as guest accommodation at a discounted rate.

Five tips for flawless foundation

Top make-up artist Jen Gooding specialises in e-commerce and editorial make-up, as well as bridal. Here are her top five tips for flawless foundation application. 1) Prep. To make sure you are getting the most out of your foundation application, preparing the skin is the most important part. The key is to make sure your moisture levels in the skin are on top, to do this I recommend introducing a hyaluronic acid serum into your skin care routine, This adds more hydration as it draws moisture into crepey skin, try 'The Inkey List - Hyaluronic Acid Serum'.
