Over the years, we have all seen the variations on wedding dresses and how people have expressed individuality. But what if you know you want to wear a classic dress, but you don't typically wear dresses? You're bound to feel a little lost and uncomfortable when it comes to picking the most important gown you will ever wear. Luckily, bridal outlet Little White Dress have come in to offer some amazing advice on finding your dream dress.

Q: I don't typically wear dresses, so I have no idea where to start with wedding dress shopping. Any tips?

You will know when you have "the" dress on - and in the meantime, don't worry we've got you! In over 10 years we have always helped brides find their dream dresses and our tips for you are as follows.

1. Try each silhouette - you'd be surprised how many women, that otherwise live in jeans, put a ball gown on and cry happy tears! Find the shape first as it makes dress shopping so much easier.

2. It's your dress, wear what you love. If you are not feeling it in the store, you will not be comfortable on the day. It doesn't matter if your dress is not a show stopping mermaid with a cathedral length train. If your dress is a simple crepe empire gown, then that's just perfect for you.

3. Try and shop solo or with just a couple of guests - the bigger the party the more opinions and the more pressure. Take who is closest to you and be vocal in the first couple of dresses – so everyone, including bridal staff, know what you are liking! This avoids any well-intentioned dress pulls that aren't right for you.

4. Lastly, take your shopping trip for what it is - finding the dress for one of the most magical days of your life. Relax and enjoy it!
