Venue spotlight on Sprivers Mansion: Image 1

This elegant Georgian country house, built in 1759 and bursting with original features, is typical of its era, with its doll’s house symmetry and oak double doors. Its three reception rooms boast fine Georgina fireplaces, ornate plasterwork, a sweeping oak Chippendale staircase and beautiful chandeliers. There is a generous three-room bridal suite in the main Georgian house in the same elegant style, with three-storey guest accommodation situated in the atmospheric 15th-century house.

Set at the end of a long driveway, sweeping through 100 acres of National Trust parkland, the house is surrounded by delightful grounds, rose garden, orchards and ponds. You’ll enjoy total privacy and tranquility, with only the singing birds and sheep to be heard.

A wedding party of 10 guests can be accommodated the night of the wedding and can opt to stay for up to three nights. During your stay, dinners, barbecues and drinks parties can all be arranged, as well as breakfast in the marquee the following morning.

The vows
Ceremonies with 60 of your loved ones can either take place in the ornate yellow room or for 180 on the main lawn, on to which the French doors open.

Celebrate in style
Drinks receptions can be hosted in the house and gardens, followed by the wedding breakfast for 180 guests and evening entertainment for 200 in the 90-metre luxury marquee, situated on the back lawn.
