Charlton Park is a welcoming Grade II country house set in over 100 acres of parkland, seven miles from Canterbury. This elegant and secluded location is the perfect setting for exclusive-use and can be easily accessed via the dramatic driveway sweeping up to the expansive white Regency facade from the peaceful village of Bishopsbourne.

The 40 foot Regency Ballroom on the first floor is resplendent with piped ceiling work, a Bechstein piano and large bay windows overlooking the countryside.  It can host a civil ceremony for 100 guests, overlooking the gorgeous herbaceous borders, woodland and fields, seating 80 for the wedding breakfast.

On the ground floor, a panelled hallway and Drawing Room combine to form a large reception area. Here, celebrant-led ceremonies can be conducted with 40 nearest and dearest, with more guests welcomed later as celebrations expand into the Hall for the evening.

When the weather is kind, celebrant-led nuptials can also take place on the lawns surrounded by 300 of your nearest and dearest, or in the woods accompanied by 60 family and friends. Further outdoor reception space for up to 350 is available on the Reception Lawn, Croquet Lawn or Lower Lawns.

We love… The wood-burning fires, which can be lit in all reception rooms making this the ultimate cosy winter wedding venue.
