The hugely talented folk at The Old Kent Barn have done it again! The latest styled open day to fling its doors open to couples planning their winter wedding is themed as a forest in the barn. The concept behind it is to inspire those attracted by the idea of a wedding in the wood but unsure about the suitability in the winter.
The design showcased the winter season and the use of rich, deep colours, with bold combinations of red and green and deep winter berry and forest green, amongst the cosy oak barn.
Festive twists were applied, such as those found in Nicola at The Cake Witch's gingerbread favours and stationery by The Invite Shack. Matt Ebbage’s photography style suited this ethereal theme accompanied by the live harp sounds of 2 of Harps and the skills of magician Chris Harding.
The installation was in collaboration with Elise at Hedges and Flowers and The Old Kent Barn team. All of the foliage was sourced locally with thanks to the Christie Family at Great Watersend Farm and installed using a wire base akin to Harry and Meghan's wedding florals following the #nofoam trend. The installation was then recycled. Styled pieces from Locate to Create finished this look.
Thank you to The Old Kent Barn for sharing the results with us, check out the wonderful images here.
