A one night only collaboration at The Dog at Wingham, Kent

It's official! The Middle East is making its way to Wingham. For one night only, Executive Chef and Owner of Queen of Cups, Ayesha Kalaji, of MasterChef: The Professionals fame will be collaborating with Head Chef of the much-loved and award-winning The Dog at Wingham, Robert Mantegna.

This incredibly exciting celebration dinner will be taking place on April 25th, where these two incredibly talented chefs will be joining forces to create a truly special and exclusive menu.

Diners can look forward to fantastic dishes such as Kibbeh nayeh Hand chopped lamb tartare, smoked rapeseed dressing, spiced honey cured egg yolk & savoury bazarek; Berber spiced beef, jewelled moghrabieh, mulukhiya sauce and green shatta and Fig leaf basbousa, tahini and green cardamom ice cream, pine nut brittle and seasonal poached fruit. Taking influence from her Jordanian roots, Ayesha has a totally distinctive style of cooking.

"My dishes are not authentically Middle Eastern – they are my own interpretation; it is food seen through my lens. I cannot wait to get in the kitchen with Rob and meet the lovely people of Wingham! It's a real pleasure to be invited to such a well-loved and highly regarded gastropub. It's going to be a really fabulous night." – Ayesha Kalaji

"It's going to be wonderful to welcome Ayesha to The Dog. Her unique style of cooking, the unusual and colourful ingredients she uses, as well as her sheer enthusiasm is very exciting. Creating this menu together has been a real treat and I just know this is going to be night to remember." - Rob Mantegna
