Five minutes with Angela Williams of RKW Hair

Angela has worked in hairdressing for 22 years. She left school and worked her way up in the field until she was part of the education team and eventually succeeded in managing her own team of assessors and instructors. She's now mummy to two little girls, and has been obsessed with all things wedding ever since her own. That's when she found herself launching RKW Hair. Kent never tasted so good!

Old Dairy Brewery has raised £630 for the East Kent Hospitals Charity through sales of its new pale ale, Frontline. Paying tribute to the NHS, the brewery launched the special edition beer in March and have been donating 15 pence for every bottle sold. The Helping Your Hospitals appeal was launched to raise funds to support the wellbeing of staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of the local communities and businesses, East Kent Hospitals Charity have been able to fund a range of support systems; providing drinks and snacks to teams on the front line, making improvements to showering and changing facilities and implementing training programs to assist with emotional wellbeing.Find out more about the brewery at

Last month County Wedding Magazines shared with our readers bridalwear designer Sabina Motasem's intimate lockdown wedding - which we loved! This month, here's Sabina's top tips on hosting a personal, intimate, micro wedding.... weddings aren't gone, and they're certainly not forgotten!Sabina says, "Embracing a small and intimate wedding now and having a larger reception later can be intimately beautiful and you get to celebrate again with your guests. After our wedding date was postponed several times and it became clear a ceremony and reception were off the cards. We had a small wedding in September with 15 of our nearest and dearest. "The new wedding restrictions are for legally recognised weddings only in the UK, which means all 'non-legally' recognised weddings are sadly not and follows the 'Rule of 6'. In these instances, many weddings may have a cultural ceremony now followed by a civil ceremony and reception later.

Kent-based Mereworth Wines are keeping it local

Kent-based Mereworth Wines, recently released the first vintage of its exceptional English sparkling wine. The grapes are grown in its Wateringbury vineyard, before being transported a mere two miles up the road to the winery at Brewers hall for pressing, fermentation, clarification and aging. The result is receiving rave reviews, putting it in the mix with the most renowned English sparkling wines in the area. Company director Will Boscawn says, "It seems now, more than ever, that people like to know where their products have come from. They love being able to trace the journey of our drinks from start to finish and there's a pride in knowing that everything is intrinsically local, giving the products significantly more relevance to them."
